Hatha Yoga (Hindi language) controlling the mind with physical strength. Hatha Yoga is considered the mother of all yoga and refers to any practice that guides you through a series of asanas (postures).
By its nature, it is gentle, basic, slower-paced yoga with minimal flows between poses, making it an ideal form for beginners, as well as students who appreciate longer holds in individual postures and prefer a slower and more meditative approach to practice, while still reaping the benefits of a physical practice.
In this practice, we focus on correct alignment, breath control, and breath retention to achieve an equilibrium between the active body and the mind.
The resulting harmony manifests itself as physical strength, physiological health and emotional well-being.
Providing Peace & Harmony
Asana sequence as well as the retention time in each one changes and adapts to the participants in order to strengthen, open and clean the body.
Traditionally hatha yoga refers to a system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.
It’s a way of living
In the Indian and Tibetan traditions, Hatha yoga extends well beyond being a sophisticated physical exercise system and integrates ideas of ethics, diet, cleansing, pranayama, meditation and a system for spiritual development of the yoga.
